This set is a full 1080 HD giving a substantially far better image than a 720 HD prepared set. Although I subscribe to cable television and have a HD cable tuner I decided to purchase this LG model due to the fact it has an inbult HD tuner thus able to get HD freeview applications with no a cable HD tuner. I acquire that the plasma screen is not as vibrant as the LCD screen so for the duration of the day the picture tends to be a little bit pale as the screen tends to reflex light from windows etc. but its ok when the area is darkened and then the picture is rather beneficial and clear.
