Manufacturer's Description

HD Plasma Television with 600Hz Sub-field Drive, two mil:1 Contrast and VIERA Image Viewer600Hz technologies lets you view superb motion pictures with 720 lines of resolution. For even higher clarity with motion pictures, Panasonic makes use of its personal exclusive image-evaluation technologies. This technology converts the motion in each scene into information. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in earlier systems, to minimize aftereffects. When employing Cinema mode

VIERA incorporates an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive technique. A pre-discharge manage program, the True Black Drive method achieves subsequent-generation black reproduction. When you happen to be watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it is tough to achieve a appropriate balance of light and dark.

It is quick to view HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your pictures and motion pictures appropriate right after you take them. Basically insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display images and videos on the substantial screen. You can also get pleasure from specific background music, slideshow frames and transition effects.

In Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the Tv. What's far more, VIERA produces the dark pictures in video games a great deal more clearly. This mode works with the anti-image retention (wobbling) function, too.

VIERA Link makes it possible for the interlinked operation of various AV devices applying only the VIERA remote control, by basically connecting the devices to each and every other by an HDMI cable.

The C3 Series includes a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a handy, subscription no cost way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in complete HD glory wherever you are in the UK (Following a a single off installation payment for Freesat services whereas for Freeview HD you will have to have to assure coverage is obtainable in your neighborhood area).

Costumer Reviews

I spent a extended time reading evaluations from owners of TVs and also a couple of the extra technical evaluations ahead of taking the plunge and spending my difficult earned money. I was seeking for a receiver of about 40", not too concerned regardless of whether LCD or Plasma though I gather that both have their merits. I wanted to devote no extra than about £400 and finally opted for this model. I have been utilizing it now for a week and have to say that I am extremely impressed. It was incidentally bought to replace an wonderful but enormous Philips CRT. A buddy of mine who owns a leading of the range Sharp Aquos says that the Philips from time to time looked like it was receiving HD transmissions via Sky (non HD) or when watching DVDs. It was undoubtedly superb (I have a new smaller Samsung LCD also for comparison also) and so the new Panasonic had a fair normal to reside up to.

I think that the Panasonic Plasma is terrific and I am pretty pleased with the acquire. I use it for Sky reception (nevertheless non HD) and watching DVDs and some old tapes. I have never ever played a video game in my life and do not intend to, and so performance of this medium I cannot comment on. The image is pretty a lot as great as I've observed and the sound is also remarkable (compares well with the Philips CRT which had substantial, deep speakers) - note that the speakers are forward facing on the Panasonic, rather than downward or rear facing as with countless LCD models. There are many settings out there for picture and sound and I'd be amazed if the typical viewer was unable to locate settings to their satisfaction. The colours tend to be slightly muted compared to my Samsung LCD and this I choose, it looks even more natural. The set is also very solid and well made, the rear panel is metal rather than plastic as with a large number of other TVs, particularly at the lower finish of the value range. The stand is especially solid, again with a metal/steel upright section and so the receiver sits particularly securely.

A single point of interest to prospective purchasers - it has only a single Scart socket (while a lot of other connections) and some owners on the web have commented that they have had issues connecting both a regular (non HDMI) Sky box AND a DVD recorder/player. I followed the configuration instructions that came with the Panasonic handbook and it all functions totally fine, no need to have for Scart switches or something complex. Double check that your Scart connections are as advised if you are having concerns - Sky Box out to the DVD recorder, recorder out to the Tv.

My only criticism is that the glass screen does suffer reflections in vibrant sunlit rooms. I am employed to this to some extent as my earlier CRT Tv has a glass screen also, but it can be distracting in vivid daylight. This is the only cause why I've not given the Panasonic 5 stars. Otherwise this is an exceptional Television set and truly beneficial value for revenue, highly recommended.

Bought this set getting observed it in John Lewis, at a bargain £[]! So anybody reading this and has the cash should SERIOUSLY look into it - then purchase it on Amazon as JL has sold out! I agree with all the other comments on this set - its superb! I was replacing a Panasonic 26" LCD with this 42 incher and so connecting it up was a two minute job. Auto tune then took 6 minutes and we were away. It is just a question of setting the colour, sound etc to private taste which is particularly easy too. I have a panasonic DVD recorder and Sky+ box conencted to the 2 x HDMI sockets and it all works perfectly.
